A Tribute to A Legend
Juventus '99
This typifies what Roy Keane was all about. The passion, determination, pure grit, leadership oozing out of his veins were there for all too see. Never once there was a player like him and there will never be another "Roy Keane". The No. 16 of Manchester United will forever be sacred.
The Best Midfielder in his position in the Premership for the past 10 years. Those who have been lucky enough to watch him play, at his peak, are really lucky n should be thankful of having been able to watch such a great.
I myself grew up watching him play for My Beloved Manchester United and never once doubted his committment for the club, his passion for the Red Shirt and most of all his courage to stand up for his teammates. The most wierdest feeling swept inside me watching United play last nyt knowing that never again will i see the No.16 of my era tackling back saving a goal, mouthing off at the referee, shouting at his own players n bullying the opponents in the Famous Red Shirt.
Earlier in the day when i read what had happened, it brought tears to my eyes to see him leave Manchester United. Sad and almost a wierd sense of shock for me and most United Fans. The Captain of United had left, n it was almost utter emptiness. Esp the timing of it was a bit suspect. Nevertherless, we as fans of United's n Roy's have to accept his decision n bid him good n farewell.
He will always be remembered as the man who made Patrick Vieira "cry" ;)
